p.s. Hope you enjoy your Sky Caddie....because I know I will:o)

Yearly Lake Powell Trip. How I miss it already!

hmmmm....I love Lake Powell.

We are so pumped....ready for some Powell sun!

Lance and I had to cook a meal together for everyone and we got breakfast. We cooked french toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage. Lance is helping me set up for our meal together. It was sooooo good!
This was Lance at the beginning of the trip, and he still looked the same at the end of the trip....STARK WHITE!

My dad brought his golf clubs up so we wouldn't have to go without golf a single day! We would swing towards a rock wall and see who could hit the ball the highest. Sometimes the ball would hit the wall and coming flying back at us. It was pretty scary sometimes, but funny.

The guys jumping off cliffs. Seriously? Cliffs and jumping should not be used in the same sentence. Guys are so weird.
Every night we would sit by the fire and burn all of the trash we had accumulated throughout the day. It was a lot of fun.
....we built a 'big' fire...
So my uncle brought up an air chair, which of course no one knew how to use it, and I fell....a lot. I did figure out however, how to get really, really high.....and then fall; I was really good at that.
Lance was long surfing....or so they called it. The guys thought it was funny to use the surf board as a wakeboard and do any tricks they could think of, or do, off the wake ( I got a lot of funny pics). It was simply pure entertainment. Thanks guys!
Here Lance is just about to jump the wake. He looks serious! And focused!....and he fell...hard! hehe
What a goofy bunch.
Hey, couldn't figure out how to get these pictures off... so here is Lance and I waving... this was us pulling out of our driveway before we left for Powell (Lance loves me taking pictures of him..can't ya tell?)

Repeat...I suck at blogging!

A day at the pool!

A day at the pool with the girls! As you can see in all of the pictures we took, including this one, Sadie would not look at the camera. It was such a fun day and the girls had a blast while Cass ran and did a few things.
This is Ava pumped and ready for a fun day at the pool.
Ava was having a blast squirting her aunt Naddy at the pool. Soooooo funny....she thought.
This is Sadie's fierce face, she means business!
I think we wore Sadie out a little bit....ya think?
(this was in the hot tub sitting in her floaty tube)

Thanks Babe!

I am writing this, first of all to update my blog...didn't leave on such a happy note, 2nd of all because my sister gives me a daily reminder of how my last posting was of our dead uncle, and 3rd because of Lance. Now I'm not writing this to announce to everyone that it was my birthday yesterday, but it was such a good day that I had to write about it. It was by far a great day because of the efforts of my husband. I worked on my birthday, I know...I know, how jealous most of you are. We were short staffed, I was sick, and I was working my butt off when one of the nurses I was working with pulled me to the side and said 'we needed to talk'. She pulled the 'you're not in trouble' card and mentioned that we should talk in private. As I followed her, in my mind I was going through all of the possible things I could have screwed up throughout the day (which were a lot.....short staffed). As we turned the corner 'to talk', or so I thought.....she pointed down the hall and said "does that guy look familiar?" There was Lance at the end of the hallway with flowers in his hand. I cried...I know, but I coudln't help it.......I knew he had a 'sensitive' side (he'll deny it). That alone made it such a great day for me. He got me a few other things, even though he didn't have to.....and I want to thank him for such a great day!
p.s. To my lovely sister cass, thanks for the post; however, you've seen some of the 'special' pics I have of you.
Love ya Lance, and thanks for making it such a great day!

Uncle Preston at Lake Powell

Sunday April 20th, 2008 my uncle Preston Blair unexpectedly passed away at his home. I didn't really know my uncle until the past few years when Lance and I started going to Lake Powell. I searched through my pictures and this was the only one that I had of him. He was such a good guy and I always told him that he, out of all of my dad's siblings, reminded me most of my dad; which was probably why I felt so comfortable around him. He left behind all 4 of his children, 3 grandchildren, and one on the way. Pres was such a blast to have at Lake Powell. He always had such a sarcastic sense of humor, which I loved. You could always joke around with him, and he was the best snoring uncle I've ever had (I know, I have proof on tape...long story). This is a sad loss, but we know he is in a better place. Pres, you will truly be missed and we love you!

"Preparation"

While Cass (sister) was on vacation, this last Monday and Tuesday I had the privilege of babysitting. They actually weren't too bad, but W O W was it still an eye opener for me. I give credit to all the stay-at-home moms! My whole day (or should I say two) I was thinking about feeding, nap time, entertaining, cleaning messes, temper tantrums, changing diapers....my whole day revolved around them; I never thought having two kids could be so tough. Especially going from 0 to 2 kids. This was the first time I have had my nieces overnight, and boy was I glad to get home and back to work! Whew! I had a blast....and I think it helps just a bit that they are so darn cute.

The Golfing Trio

The weather was a little warmer this day, so my dad, lance, and I took the opportunity to practice our swing at the golfing range. My dad has been teaching me how to improve my swing. I must say it was some great advice! I was hitting every single ball, and not only were they going farther, but they were straight! It was a lot of fun.
Mom thought is was too cold, so she sat in the truck and waited until we finished.

Dad and Lance

Swing away

I was playing with my camera again, so I thought I would check out Lance's swing.
...so here we go...

Great form Lance!

Warm Weather!

The past couple of days as I drive home from work I have been loving this warm weather, and also driving home while the sun is still up. This picture reminded me of summer, and I wish it were here already!

Ella and Uncle Lance

Here is Lance and cutie patootie Ella at the Christmas party at grandma Helen's. Once again, another photoshop victim. This one took me much longer because Ella had chocolate smeared all over her face....she's clean now!

Cute Sadie girl

I thought this picture of Sadie was the cutest. Makes you wanna just pinch those cheeks. I've been learning my photoshop just a little bit; I don't know how to do too much yet, but this pic took me about....ooohhhh I'd say 3 hours!

CABO 'Lover's Beach'

This was our first stop; the famous Lover's Beach at Cabo San Lucas. My first thought was, Cabo.....crystal clear water....beautiful beaches right?! As you can see...very, very, dark water...which was the water all of the crew wanted to scuba dive in......with sharks (of course no one thinks of this but me). Don't get me wrong, the beach was beautiful, just dark, very dark water.
So all of us jumped into this fancy glass bottom boat (and you would have had to be there to realized what an over statement fancy was); anywho, what a great pic huh? Our tourist, Ziggy, took us around Lover's Beach to show us the sites; I couldn't get enough! Among many of the arches, this one was definitely one of my favorites.

This was another site we were able to see; a large number of seals relaxing on the rocks. I was quite surprised at how close we were able to get; however, what an odor these thing give off.....even worse than Lance after passing a few. I think out of the crew, I tolerated the smell quite well; I've become immune to horrible smells, what can I say (thanks babe, love ya for that).
(you would have to know lance to know what I'm talking about)

Cabo had some of the largest waves I had ever thought possible. I mean, you see large waves on movies, but in real life? These were massive! And get this, this wave wasn't even at its peak, and was right off of the shore line. People would get creamed by these waves, and not on purpose, which made it quite funny. I think I have more pictures of other people than the people we were with because they would keep getting wasted by these waves. It was good entertainment...and good picture taking at that!

I thought this picture was hilarious! Lance is on the left of the picture, and Rich on the right. Here Lance is attempting to part the waters...hahaha...how funny is this?! Lance is such a fun person to vacation with, like a kid in a candy store. He definitely makes the vacationing exprience an interesting one.
Quick story: My fam, Lance, and I vacationed in Missouri a few years ago, and we were out doing things the whole day, every day, from morning until like midnight.....well one night in particular we were driving home and Lance states, "dude, so what are we gonna do now?" We all started laughing and said...uhhh go to bed! He doesn't sleep!!! To make a long story short, Lance was pretty upset, ordered pizza, and fell asleep watching tv on the couch..
...like I said, kid in a candy store..no time for sleep...
We love ya lance, you wear us out, but we love ya.

Here is Lance running his little heart out....lovin' every minute on the beach!
(as you can see all of these pics are of lance, cause I'm the one 'taking' the pics. It's a good thing he looks so awesome in those pictures!)

Lance, again, taking such an amazing picture....you go lance, what a great pose!
(I had to catch him off guard, becuase he would never pose like this on purpose)
....isn't this such a cool picture of the ocean...maybe I just don't see the ocean enough!

MEXICAN RIVIERA GET AWAY

We just got home from our Mexican Riviera Cruise and it was AWESOME!!! This was the first cruise that Lance and I have gone on together. Lance was just like a little kid in a candy store....he was a lot of fun. We've spent the last 9 days in 70-90 degree weather and we most certainly were not looking forward to coming home to snow! This is a picture at the beach in Puerto Villarta..isn't it beautiful?!!!
We also visited Cabos and Mazatlan, but Puerto Villarta was definitely my fav!

Here is a pic of our "cruise crew". From left to right....Holly, Rich, Lisa, Aaron, Lance, me, Scott, and Casey. They were a blast to cruise with. Thanks guys! This pic was taken after the guys had a basketball shoot-out while us girls cheered them on at the sidelines.

Before we boarded the Dawn Princess cruise liner, we spent a couple of days visiting Brady and Christina in San Diego. We visited Balboa Park, shopped at the outlets, and ate...and ate...and ate some more. This pic is of Lance and I at Balboa Park. This park is a whole whopping 13 square miles. It was huge!

San Diego is BEAUTIFUL!! It was a great chance for me to practice using my new camera. I took this pic of these pretty flowers right outside of Brady's house. It had just finished raining, hence the rain drops on the flower petals.

Funny Lance

This is such a stunt Lance would pull...suits him well.
Funny, funny Lance
What a fun trip to Vegas!

Bowling with the Fam

Ava and I are hangin' out bowling with 'Grandma
Debbie' and 'Grandpa Kevin'. Grams and Gramps are helping Ava get a strike...go geerrrrlll.....as grandma would say. I asked Ava to strike a pose for the camera and this is what she gave me....superstar! She's a natural! She had such a blast! What a cute little bugger....I just want to squeeze those cheeks!
