"Preparation"

While Cass (sister) was on vacation, this last Monday and Tuesday I had the privilege of babysitting. They actually weren't too bad, but W O W was it still an eye opener for me. I give credit to all the stay-at-home moms! My whole day (or should I say two) I was thinking about feeding, nap time, entertaining, cleaning messes, temper tantrums, changing diapers....my whole day revolved around them; I never thought having two kids could be so tough. Especially going from 0 to 2 kids. This was the first time I have had my nieces overnight, and boy was I glad to get home and back to work! Whew! I had a blast....and I think it helps just a bit that they are so darn cute.

Maybe we should let you take Bear overnight so you can have a little more practice...

It is a lot of work! I always knew having kids would be work, but it still surprises me each day how much more work it is than I thought! It's fun though! Let me know when your going to take those classes and maybe we can take them together!

Its true, you never know how much work it is until you actually do it! I always wanted to stay home with my kids...I thought it would be much easier! Surprise!!! Something new everyday, and your patience sure gets tested!! So I guess you are good childless for a little longer? : )

That is a cute pic Nat. Every time I tend Ava I am amazed at how dang smart she is, I can't trick her into doing anything! She is hilarious.

Hey Nat-
How the heck are ya?!? I am glad you started a blog so I can see how you are doing. I haven't checked many lately cuz it's been too crazy! But we are good.
Sadly I used to think it sounded so relaxing and fun to be a stay at home mom. I now realize it is MUCH more than that! It's not the easy way out, that's for sure! I appreciate that I get to work a little and be home most the time. Good balance for me. Hope all is well with you two. I want to see your new place, want to invite me!?
