Thanks Babe!

I am writing this, first of all to update my blog...didn't leave on such a happy note, 2nd of all because my sister gives me a daily reminder of how my last posting was of our dead uncle, and 3rd because of Lance. Now I'm not writing this to announce to everyone that it was my birthday yesterday, but it was such a good day that I had to write about it. It was by far a great day because of the efforts of my husband. I worked on my birthday, I know...I know, how jealous most of you are. We were short staffed, I was sick, and I was working my butt off when one of the nurses I was working with pulled me to the side and said 'we needed to talk'. She pulled the 'you're not in trouble' card and mentioned that we should talk in private. As I followed her, in my mind I was going through all of the possible things I could have screwed up throughout the day (which were a lot.....short staffed). As we turned the corner 'to talk', or so I thought.....she pointed down the hall and said "does that guy look familiar?" There was Lance at the end of the hallway with flowers in his hand. I cried...I know, but I coudln't help it.......I knew he had a 'sensitive' side (he'll deny it). That alone made it such a great day for me. He got me a few other things, even though he didn't have to.....and I want to thank him for such a great day!
p.s. To my lovely sister cass, thanks for the post; however, you've seen some of the 'special' pics I have of you.
Love ya Lance, and thanks for making it such a great day!

Uncle Preston at Lake Powell

Sunday April 20th, 2008 my uncle Preston Blair unexpectedly passed away at his home. I didn't really know my uncle until the past few years when Lance and I started going to Lake Powell. I searched through my pictures and this was the only one that I had of him. He was such a good guy and I always told him that he, out of all of my dad's siblings, reminded me most of my dad; which was probably why I felt so comfortable around him. He left behind all 4 of his children, 3 grandchildren, and one on the way. Pres was such a blast to have at Lake Powell. He always had such a sarcastic sense of humor, which I loved. You could always joke around with him, and he was the best snoring uncle I've ever had (I know, I have proof on tape...long story). This is a sad loss, but we know he is in a better place. Pres, you will truly be missed and we love you!

"Preparation"

While Cass (sister) was on vacation, this last Monday and Tuesday I had the privilege of babysitting. They actually weren't too bad, but W O W was it still an eye opener for me. I give credit to all the stay-at-home moms! My whole day (or should I say two) I was thinking about feeding, nap time, entertaining, cleaning messes, temper tantrums, changing diapers....my whole day revolved around them; I never thought having two kids could be so tough. Especially going from 0 to 2 kids. This was the first time I have had my nieces overnight, and boy was I glad to get home and back to work! Whew! I had a blast....and I think it helps just a bit that they are so darn cute.

The Golfing Trio

The weather was a little warmer this day, so my dad, lance, and I took the opportunity to practice our swing at the golfing range. My dad has been teaching me how to improve my swing. I must say it was some great advice! I was hitting every single ball, and not only were they going farther, but they were straight! It was a lot of fun.
Mom thought is was too cold, so she sat in the truck and waited until we finished.

Swing away

I was playing with my camera again, so I thought I would check out Lance's swing.
...so here we go...

Great form Lance!

Warm Weather!

The past couple of days as I drive home from work I have been loving this warm weather, and also driving home while the sun is still up. This picture reminded me of summer, and I wish it were here already!

Ella and Uncle Lance

Here is Lance and cutie patootie Ella at the Christmas party at grandma Helen's. Once again, another photoshop victim. This one took me much longer because Ella had chocolate smeared all over her face....she's clean now!
